Five Easy Ways to Decorate Your House For Fall (With Plants)

Autumn is finally here, and while we're spending more time at home to protect ourselves from COVID-19, we can still have some fun with the new season. After all, fall doesn't just bring cooler temperatures and Pumpkin Spice everything; it also brings a whole new color palette to play around with to transform your space into an autumn wonderland! Have fun with the inspo below, and if you use one of these ideas or form your own, we'd love to see! Either send us photos (hello@wallygro.com) or tag us on Instagram (@wallygro).

Classic vibes right here! The diagonal install gives you a beautiful platform to work with; you can even kick it up a notch and put in some pretty trailing plants to let the trails cascade down for a bit of drama. Red, green and white is the best autumn starter pack to incorporate the seasonal colors that bring us joy and complement any other fall colors (such as orange) you want to bring in from pumpkins, gourds or synthetic leaves. This setup also allows enough room to include any other seasonal elements for Halloween or Thanksgiving that you can easily switch out depending on the holiday.

This warm color scheme plays up the brighter colors of autumn that we all know and love. It's important to note the transitional possibilities of this look: you can easily take out the Terracotta Loop (or replace it with a different color) and keep the red and white Wally Eco planters to flow into the winter holidays and even on to Valentine's Day! While we like a good dark look for autumn, there is also something to be said about bright colors and amplifying the popular hues of fall.

Terracotta Loop, Wally Eco Olive, Charcoal, Brick, Espresso

Plants: Brazil Philodendron, Emerald Gem, Satin Pothos, Neon Pothos, Brazil Philodendron, Boston Fern

A creative arch or half-arch of planters is an ideal way to show off other great autumn-inspired pieces in the middle, such as the leafy wreath shown here. The dark, moody colors do a great job blending in and creating a frame to show off brighter pieces in the middle. This leans into an elegant look, especially when paired with Pothos, Brazil philos and even ferns. If you like things a bit more balanced and uniform, you can easily continue the arch on the other side with more Eco planters!

This look is a great way to stay minimal and structured at the same time. With the balance of the two Loop planters on each side, you have a little room in the middle to have fun with, whether it be just another planter, a fall decor piece, or a nice photo or art piece. The best part about this look is that it's so versatile - these colors can easily shift from season to season!

Why not just go all out create a wall bursting with plants? When utilizing a mix of darker and lighter Eco colors with a variety of different plants, you can easily create a look of enchantment that goes hand in hand with autumn vibes. This style is great for someone who wants to go more minimal on the autumn decor and shift all the focus to the plants. When implementing a mix of plants like upright ferns with trailing Pothos, you give yourself a wonderful platform to play with. By sticking with mostly lighter planters like White and popping in darker and more colorful planters like Olive and Brick, you get depth, dimension and a spice of autumn look that results in a cozy vibe all over.

Happy decorating, plant fam!
