Care: keep it small with regular pruning; it may require drastic cutting back in spring.

Variegata ficus elastica is popular for its attractive foliage, ease of care and tree-like presence.

Light: medium to bright indirect light; can lose variegation in low light.

Water: when soil is dry 1-2 inches down. Avoid getting leaves wet.

Care: regularly dust the leaves of this plant.

Pet-friendly: no.

 Pinstripe Calathea

Calathea Ornata is a gorgeous tropical plant with elegant pinstripes on its leaves, thus the name.

Light: this plant prefers bright, indirect light. 

Water: when top layer of soil is dry, but keep humidity up by misting the leaves twice weekly.

Fertilizer: monthly during spring and summer.

Care: try filtered water if its leaves get yellowed around the edges.

Pet-friendly: yes.

This low-growing, shrub-like tropical plant has brilliant color and can grow quite large in time.

Light: prefers bright indirect light.

Water: when the top layer of soil is dry.

Pet-friendly: no - this plant is poisonous if ingested and can even cause skin irritation when handled.

Pink Aglaonema

This stunning variety of Aglaonema keeps its color well and looks great just about anywhere.

Light: shows best color in medium or indirect bright light. 

Water: when the soil is dry; can go a few weeks without water in a pinch.

Fertilizer: once or twice a year for best results.
